Just a quick message to say I've got no thighs left. Lost them at the lazergame on wednesday night. We played 1h and 20 minutes for the final! I was exausted, but I managed to come out first at the second game with 5550 points. Yay! But know I can't go up some stairs without pain and suffer. Hopefully it's nearly the WE, I'm gonna rest (meh, I can't, i've got an oral exam on wednesday and I haven't done anything yet!)

Happy new year, folks!
So I didn't update during the holidays, sorry! was to absorbed by my own coputer...hehe. So basically besides the computer I got some perfume, two candles, a book, a CD (Evanescence live; very nice since there's a DVD with the entire concert and all the video clips) and I ordered a pair of trowsers on the net with the money received from my grandparents.
After christmas comes new year's day: that was great! We had a meal with 20 fellow pals, with turkey, salmon and foie gras. I guess the major problem is that I don't remember what I did between 11pm and 4am. I feel weird about this. And my god! saturday I vomited all day. I even vomited what looked very much like orange juice when all I had drank was vodka, muscat and water the following morning. So I gues my body can synthetise orange juice... hey, that's great in fact!

So, back in Lille. I can't say I have been missing this town, though. Maybe because of all the work I have to do (blah, not that much in fact; just two oral exams, one next week and the other one on the 26th).
Anyway, i felt guilty not to update for so long; hope you haven't missed me!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR EVERYONE!

Merry christmas!
How nice to have a break! Two weeks holidays, at last! was getting fed up, as everybody else in my class. Last week was quite good, though: we had a drawing stage. We went into various places to learn how to draw properly. So we went to Euralille (a wacking great big mall) and were told to go out (we weren' allowed to sit down to draw! VERY stupid); on wednesday we went to Roubaix's swimming pool (in fact, an old XIX century swimming pool; very nice building filled with sculptures and paintings, AND fortunately there was a Picasso exibition); on thursday we went to Lille's art museum (a terrific one; I especially remember a gigantic painting by Rubens, very impressive); finally on friday we went into a greenhouse. Weather was crap, and absolutely no one had the slight bit of motivation. Explains why my drawing was crap. Anyway, I'm back home, and that's good! It's been a long time (something like 6 weeks).
Tomorrow I think I'm gonna go to Roeun to buy some presents, but as I'm really short on money it'll be quite difficult. But I'm getting a computer, YAY! at last... And I still don't know what I'm gonna do on new year's day.
Anyway, was a long time since I didn't wrote in this. I think I'll update daily when I get my computer. I have to leave now, my brother's pesting me because I've played on the computer all day long. Well, I'm in holidays, for god's sake! See yah!

Pfff...
Fortunately I haden't any lessons this morning. I feel absolutely crappy, due to yesterday. Party in a bar, and then Intégrule 2 until 4am...very difficult. Anyway, this evening is the Beaujolais Nouveau. Dunno if I'll be able to drink any more...Maybe I'll go to the movies. Suggestions: Bad Santa, She Hate Me, Me, Peter Sellers? Hey, and this WE I saw two movies: Memories with Ryan Phillipe (a bit like The Butterfly Effect) and Gang de Requins (can't remember the original title. Anyway, wasn't as good as Nemo). I have to go know, someone needs the computer. Bye!

lousy
Hurgh. I've finished today's lessons, and I have an article for the local magazine to right. But I haven't got any idea. Please help me choosing between these subjects:
-Bush
-the last Jean Pierre Jeunet film
-some album or band
-Caen (why not? I spent the last two years in this city, so I must have something to say about it)
-goths
-the last slipknot gig

If you have other ideas, I'll be happy to know them. Even if I know I'll only have about two answers... blah. Should update more often, but my access to the web is VERY limited...I hope I'll have a computer at christmas.
Anyway, take care of yourselves! good point: I have thusday and friday off, this week. Cool.

God bless america...
I know that many of you had allready an idea that the stupid git would be re-elected, but fuck. Why, why, why? God, that'll come out to be dangerous for us french...hope not. I guess americans don't have our vision of the american government politic, but even then how explain the fact that they voted for someone who came out of his first four years with 400 billion deficit??? that is the question. Maybe the majority of americans ARE stupid. Who knows? Not me . It would be interesting to have the point of view of people really engaged against Bush and CO, like Michael Moore (easy example). I guess he'll have something to criticize for the next four years...haha. But I think if I were in his case, I'll fly to another country. Anyway, if he doesn't like living there, why not move? All his fight aginst Bush led to nothing, so...
God I'm really pissed off. And I have some shit work to finish by 2pm, I'm extatic.

I love that icon for "creative". Never used it before...
8:35 pm
"Boring" life???
I was just browsing on LJ, and came up with one (vital) fact: 90% of the users have a boring life. Well, they say they have. My god, I can't believe it! Example: if LJ users are representative of the entire population of a country, that means they are 54 million french who've had enough. Ok. Now lets say that 10% are mentaly fragile and depressive, so likely to commit suicide in the next ten years if they don't change anything. That puts us to 5,4 million dead frogs. So a lot of people. Say, more than half of Paris.
So, as I've never considered myself like part of the majority, I'm NOT gonna kill myself. Even if Bush is still there in three days. I swear it. And my life is NOT boring. Can't be. So I'm fed up with people who are persuaded they life is shit. Can't be, the simple fact they write in LJ shows they've got something to say!

So now it's up to you to consider myself as a nutter or a genious, anyway I don't care because I've got a fantastic life!
(no I haven't taken any drugs; I'm clean)

40€ was worth it.
Ahhh...the Slipknot gig was WAYYYY cool! Four bands, 3 hours concert, really it was worth it!
-Mastodon: good surprise, the drummer is an octopus.
-Machine Head: from my point of view perhaps the best, especially when they played "the blood, the sweat, the tears" (sigh...I wanna be back there). A bit short, though.
-Slayer: condensed brutality. I don't know the music, but it was so impressive!
-Slipknot: masterpiece. They played all their most violent songs and finished with (god, I forgot the name) "Fuck it all, fuck this world, fuck everything that you stand for". Everybody new "Duality" off by heart, so we all sang together. And I got an illustration of how stupid the french can be: Corey had made a big effort to speak french, and on "Spit it out" he made us all sit down. Whe were then supposed to jump when he said "Sautons, sautons" (jump, jump), but everybody started jumping as soon as the music started! we had to do it all over again.

And my god, as usual the railway company was on strike, so when I took the train back to Lille, it stopped 1h30 in Amiens instead of 12 minutes, and I had to change trains in Arras. So I arrived at Lille at 11pm instead of 9. Then I met Yves and we watched "Evangelion" until 4am. Had only 3 hours sleep that night. But didn't stop me celebrating last night.

Sorry, I have to go now. My time is counted, I have a lesson, people are waiting for the computer etc.

Just a bit of time between lessons, so I thought of updating: I've got my new flat, yay! Problem: the shower leaks everywhere, so yesterday I had a pond in my bathroom. But it should be repared by this evening...
The people here are really cool, though: they're all friendly and stuff. But strangely enough they don't seem to go out on evenings. This evening I'll try to get them out.

Slipknot gig is in five days, cool! Other problem: will I have enough money to buy a train ticket? That is the question...life is so expensive these days...and I have to buy a metro pass AND a train reduction card! Blörg.

Anyway, I'll try to update more often from now on, but the major problem is that there's only one computer room, and it's allways crowded! My god I have to buy a computer (another major investissment).

And as yesterday evening I was bored stiff, I calculated that I spent more than 400 euros the last two years. That's 82 films, 4,90 € per film and 3,61 films a month. Think about it.

I must go now. I have another crap lesson and finish at 6h30 pm. Horrible.

My. God. I'm listening to a country version of "I believe in a thing called love" (the darkness, for alien readers). Hilarious.
2:15 pm
That's a bit of luck, dude!
Yeah! So when I last left you, I was studying history in Rouen...but today I'm studying in Lille! Remember, the school I applied to before the summer holidays: they finally took me! Let me ewplain: they called me on my mobile last monday, asking me if I wanted to go there -now-. I didn't knew what to do, as I had a flat in Rouen and couldn't afford going to Lille and finding an other one, meaning I would have to pay the rent of the flat in Rouen for the next three months (stupid system...anyway). So I called my parents to discuss the matter; their first reaction -I knew it- was to say they couldn't afford another flat. BUT....the next morning, my father called me to say that he and my mother had discussed it longly, and finally decided that as I may not have ever another opportunity, why not take that one? So OK, I agreed with them. as a result I didn't went to my afternoon lesson, but dashed to the flat in Rouen to take a few clothes, to the station to buy a train ticket for Lille, and I was gone. Forgot to say I previously called a friend of mine -who allready was fixed in Lille- to ask him if I could sleep at his place the time I found a flat of my own (unfortunately the friend in question is a stupid git...fortunately he's very nice. Hope he'll never get to read this!).
So, the next morning (that brings us to wednesday) I went to the university to get enrolled. Then, that afternoon I had my very first lesson in one of France's biggest students city (say, 100 000 students!). It was fun, we had to build a tower from floor to ceiling with only sheets of paper and cellertape, in less than 15 minutes. I met my pals for the next three years...all very nice, only 11 boys out of 30.
And I managed to find a flat yesterday! wonderfull...I visited it today and being re-done; supposed to be finished next week. I'm not too keen to sleep at my friend's next week, but too bad (name is Anthony, girlfriend Laure. I know some people of livejournal know them).
Bad point, though: I spent about 70 euros in three days, mostly for tube tickets. I must get a reduction card, but the buggers deliver them only to people with a home of their own. Gee... And I guess life in the north will come up to be VERY ewpensive. But I improved my resistance this afternoon by going in the biggest library in France (seven floors of books) and not bying anything (well...not really: I bought a map and a magazine. as I had three hours train I think it's a good excuse)! F..k it. They are so many thrilling shops in this city...arf.
Last thing: I MUST go and see "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" one of these days (who said because it's made by a frenchie with hollywood stars? Hey, I didn't went to see "Catwoman", thank god!).

Sorry, I have to leave. There's NYPD Blue starting, and I quite enjoy it. See you! The sooner the better...

Funny scene!
Gee...I know I was pretty influençable last year, but I now got the feeling I'm (unconsciously) influencing my little brother: I showed him a Craddle of Filth video clip (the last album seems cool), and then went into my bedroom for a while. When I went back up again, he wore makeup just as Danny Filth! Very funny was the reaction of the parents! But he's only 14...well, I guess this sort of "fashion" gets you earlier and earlier. He just told he'll go to school like that tomorrow. Better that than a bright yellow tracksuit, I suppose...see yah!

9:54 pm
First two days studying history...
Finally I find it very interesting! And my timetable is terrific: only one lesson on wednesdays, and no school on fridays! really nice.
Bad point, though: I can't live in my flat yet because the toilets are leaking like mad. They are supposed to be repared tomorrow...

Back to history, I think my favorite subject is medieval history, perhaps of the teacher who knows everything: from the hour of birth of king Louis IX of France to the name of the worker who repared the second window on the left of Rouen cathedral on 1255. He's fascinating.

Well, that's a short entry but as internet seems to be forbidden in my house I have to leave.
